I reached out to PJB for comments and to answer questions. After publication, I received a response from PJB: “I do not consent to you publishing any of my comments” immediately followed by her blocking me.1 Excluding the previous quote, which was a response to my request for comments, all quotes attributed to PJB in this post were made in public view, either on public web pages or in public Discord servers. I’ve taken care not to take quotes out of context.

In PJB’s latest attempt to twist the narrative of the Departure post and surrounding events, she says:

The admin exodus that happened before it was because the previous team of headmins were bad actors actively lying to their admins

This contradicts statements made in a previous announcement she made related to the departure:

As many of you know, the head game admin team recently decided to leave the project. […] The reasons for the game admins’ departure are not just specific to Wizden, and they have been heard by the current Project Management (PM) team. We’re doing our best to address them as soon as possible.

We owe both our (former) staff and players an apology for how long it has taken to address these concerns. I hope our actions going forward will be able to deal with our problems and make Space Station 14 and Wizard’s Den the best game and community it can be.

Both of these statements were made in public places. The comments made on Discord represent what I understand to be an ongoing attempt by PJB and her allies to vilify the departure and people connected to it, including me. PJB has been making4 public accusations labeling me as a harasser, but has refused to provide any evidence to support this when people have asked, claiming she no longer has access.

I am not a harasser. These unsubstantiated accusations PJB has been hurling around are closer to harassment than anything I’ve ever done. PJB’s contradiction of her former self offers a glimpse at her credibility with regard to statements surrounding the admins and headmins who left the project in 2024, citing toxicity in leadership, among other things.
